MANILA, Philippines – Senator Vicente Sotto III will file a
cyber libel complaint against Edward Angelo Dayao or popularly known as Cocoy
Dayao, the individual allegedly behind the blog page called “Silent no more.”
The Senator plans to file the complaint on Monday before the
National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Sotto said the complaint is in connection with the alleged
malicious post of the blogger.
The said blog described lawmakers who did not sign the
Senate resolution condemning extrajudicial killings in the country as
“Malacañang dogs.”
The Senator claims Dayao was behind the said blog post, and
that he can prove it in his complaint.
“The NBI traced it . . . even his registration, everything.”
“His name calling, that is my basis. What he said was
baseless if we did not sign. He invented a false story,” Sotto said. – UNTV
